Glenn Webber spent 20 years at WRTV in Indianapolis as an announcer and newscaster. It was, however, his partnership with Joe Pickett on WFBM Radio in the early 1960’s that cemented his legacy. Known as the “Pickett-Webber Thing” their morning drive time radio show was arguably the first great personality duo of Indianapolis radio. They enjoyed high ratings for nearly two decades. After leaving WFBM Webber was the public face and announcer for the Indiana State Police, before becoming part of the original staff of WENS-FM, launched in 1981. He died in 2011 at age 90.
