Ann Wagnerwagner_harper_bio grew up in Vincennes and got into radio at WAOV, where she had a singing show “Silver Lining Time.” Her vocal talents led her to Indianapolis, singing at WIBC during the day and at the Columbia Club at night.  Joining WFBM in 1947 as a staff announcer, she soon became the state’s first female disc jockey with an afternoon program “Make Mine Music.” When WFBM-TV came on the air, Wagner was singing in western wear on “Circle B Ranch” and on “Ann and Sue.”  She later became chair of the Radio and TV Department and manager of WAJC at Butler University.
