Bob Petranoff was fresh out of Indiana University when he was hired at WTTS, Blooomington, and as the first program director and film buyer for the new sister television station, WTTV. Petranoff produced/directed the first-ever TV broadcast of a regular season college basketball game in 1951. He remained with WTTV until 1957, when he joined the Radio and Television Department at Indiana University, teaching courses and producing programs for distribution to commercial stations. He later moved to the IU News Bureau until his retirement in 1990. Petranoff died January 11, 2017, at Westfield, Indiana. He was 91.
