Photograph of Clarence MorganKnown as the “Hoosier Schoolmaster of the Air” during a 45-year career, Clarence Morgan spent much of it as a faculty member at what later became Indiana State University. For over 30 years, he produced and personally directed more than 9,000 programs- all live- on WBOW Terre Haute. He is credited with personally developing ISU’s academic program in radio. He was a teacher and administrator in the Department of Speech and his lifetime work led to the construction of an FM station at the University. Dr. Morgan died in 1995 at the age of 92.
